Cooking Class Helpers

Who likes to cook and make treats? We are in need of volunteers to help in upcoming cooking classes at the Museum guided by local Chef Annie of Annie’s Fountain City Cafe. Volunteers would help assist the kids in making our simple, kid-friendly dishes that they can enjoy for lunch or share at home. This is a great experience to be a role model and demonstrate your cooking abilities! Cooking classes are typically held monthly. If interested, please contact eva@cmfdl.org.

Discovery Guide Program & Special Event Volunteers

Discovery Guide volunteers help provide visitors with a safe and fun museum experience. Responsibilities include: interacting with families to promote creativity and growth, playing games, doing projects, and straightening and organizing exhibit areas.

All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and be willing to submit to a background check.

Museum Keepers Program

Share your special skill set with the Children’s Museum!  Museum Keepers work “behind the scenes” to enrich visitors’ experience by maintaining and repairing the facility.  CMFDL is looking for painters, sewers, woodworkers, gardeners, engineers, computer techies, and handymen/women.

This group generally meets on Mondays. Volunteer shifts are flexible.

All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and be willing to submit to a background check.

To become a Museum Keeper contact Ann Meyers at (920) 929-0707 or email ann@cmfdl.org.
