Children’s Museum Announces Camps, Classes, and Free Programming for Summer

Registration is now open for summer programs at the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac. Families will experience art, music, acting, science, gardening, and much more. Call or visit the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac to register.
Creative Performers – Experience a fun-filled introduction to acting, movement and creative expression from a children’s theatre director in this week-long acting workshop. 3 – 5 year olds are invited to sign up for the 9:15 – 10:00 am class, while 6 – 12 year olds are invited to sign up for the 2:30 – 3:30 class. The June session begins Tuesday, June 23 and runs for 4 days, ending on Friday, June 26. Registration is also open for the July session, which begins on Tuesday, July 28 and ends on Friday, July 31. $20 Members; $32 Non-members (per session).
Picasso’s Apprentices – On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays during the months of June, July and August, children ages 6 – 9 can flex their creative muscles using paint, markers, canvases, and other artist tools. $6 per class; $36 for all 6 classes (applies to both members and non-members).
¡A Jugar! Spanish Fun – Offering a fun-filled summer opportunity to develop language skills and cultural awareness, ¡A Jugar! Spanish Fun utilizes games and playtime to teach basic Spanish words and phrases. Join the 2-week ¡A Jugar! Spanish Fun class on Tuesdays through Fridays, July 14 – July 24 (8 days). The class is open for ages 18-36 months at 9:30 am, ages 3-4 years old at 10:15 am, ages 5-8 years old at 11:30 am, and ages 9-12 years old at 2:30 pm. 18 mo – 8 years: $24 for Members; $40 for Non-members. 9 – 12 years: $34 for Members; $55 for Non-members.
Music, Museum and Me – The always popular class, Music, Museum & Me, returns this summer on Thursday mornings at 9:30, 10:15, and 11:00 am. In this interactive caregiver/child music class, families enjoy songs, finger plays, and music-based activities while building great summer memories. The summer sessions begin on June 18 and run for 8 weeks until August 13 (excludes break on July 2 in observance of the 4th of July weekend). Recommended for ages 1 – 5. $24 for Members; $40 for Non-members.
Garden Club – Help care for the Museum’s garden! Offered every Tuesday morning at 11:00, families who come to WinnePLAYgo Garden Club develop healthy habits, try new veggies, and learn together while growing gardening skills. This program is included free with membership and general admission due to partner support of Agnesian HealthCare and the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation, and the Master Gardeners.
S.T.E.A.M. Exploration – In S.T.E.A.M. Exploration, held every Wednesday at 11:00 and again at 4:30, families are invited to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics through hands-on activities and experiments. This program is included free with membership and general admission.
Dinosaurs & More – Dinosaurs are the theme for the June Family Night, and it’s sure to be a hit for all ages with bones, fossils, and a presentation by a real paleontologist. Family Night at the Museum offers a variety of themed activities on the 3rd Friday of every month from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Included free with membership and general admission due to partner support from Lakeside Evening Kiwanis.
LEGO Night – The Museum brings out its huge collection of blocks to encourage imaginative play for LEGO Night on the 1st Friday of every month from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
