Children’s Museum Grand Re-Opening
Posted on: Aug 7th, 2013
After being a “Museum on the Move” for almost eight months, the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac will hold its Grand Re-Opening activities on the weekend of August 16-18, 2013. The Grand Re-Opening event will be held at the Museum’s brand new location in the Waterfront District at 75 W. Scott Street, and will include past favorite exhibits as well as some exciting new features. One of the biggest additions to the Museum is the over 10,000 square feet of outdoor space, called WinnePLAYgo. This fenced play area focuses on nature and exploring the state of Wisconsin, and will allow children and their families to learn and play in a safe environment. WinnePLAYgo will include a Trike Track, a garden, “Shanty Town”, and more throughout the next year.
The Grand Re-Opening Weekend, which is open to the public, will be filled with activities for all families to enjoy, including membership discounts, science and art activities, free give-away’s, raffle drawings, a bounce house, face painting, and more.
