Artist Melissa Norenberg Presents Unique Upcycled Pieces at the Children’s Museum

The Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac will be shining its Artist Spotlight on Melissa Norenberg this weekend. Visitors of all ages will enjoy viewing Melissa’s beautifully upcycled furniture pieces in the Museum’s Welcome Gallery. No admission fees will apply for this display and visitors will also be eligible to participate in the Art All Around All Access Game (sponsored by the Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau), while supplies last. Those visiting early enough to receive an “Access Pass” are encouraged to also visit Art on the Island on Sunday, June 3rd at Lakeside Park, to be entered into a Grand Prize Giveaway and other great door prizes. In addition to the unique furniture display, Melissa and the Museum’s teacher, Marta Knodle, will be presenting special children’s art programs from 10:00 until Noon on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission fees apply for the children’s art programming being offered June 1 – 3, which also covers general Museum admission. Museum members can enjoy the program and admission for free.
Fun with Junk: Friday, June 1 – Kids will use their imaginations and creativity to construct a unique upcycled project using textiles, recycled materials and creative tools. This program is included with general admission ($7 per person) or free for members of the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac.
Artist Spotlight: June 2 – 3 – Enjoy a display of upcycled furniture from local artist, Melissa Norenberg of Artistic Designz, and watch as she creates a new masterpiece. Inspired by her designs and brush strokes, kids will collaborate to create a piece that will be on display at the Museum. This program is included with general admission ($7 per person) or free for members of the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac.
